Jalyn Spencer is a Licensed Acupuncturist who was born and raised in Detroit. She
recently moved back to the metro Detroit area, after a 15 year hiatus. She received
Maryland, during an intensive 3 1/2 year program of study in Chinese and Japanese
styles of acupuncture, Oriental medical nutrition, and Qi Gong. She was also trained
recovery.
Jalyn has B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Spelman
College and Georgia Tech, respectively. Before attending acupuncture school, she
also studied childbirth education and attended births as a labor assistant. She was
drawn to Chinese Medicine by a long-held curiosity about the human body and
wholistic medicine. Ultimately, she decided to pursue a career in Acupuncture, after
realizing great health benefits personally, and wanting to share those benefits with
others.
Jalyn enjoys helping patients get better and stay better. She treats every patient
with a sense of compassion and non-judgment. Her main desire is to see that more
people of all walks of life can experience the benefits of acupuncture at an
affordable rate. Jalyn's vision of community acupuncture is guided by her
membership in the Community Acupuncture Network (CAN)
community acupuncturist, Lisa Roehdler:
"Healing is not an elitist commodity, and it shouldn't be any big deal."
