Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient medicine originating in China over 3000 years ago.  It is a

time-honored practice with diverse traditions. In Chinese medicine, all living things have
qi

(pronounced "chee"), which can be described as life-force or energy.  Qi flows through the

body in channels, called meridians, like rivers flowing through the earth.  Qi provides

nourishment and energy to all tissues and structures of the body.  When the flow of qi

becomes altered or impeded due to lifestyle, physical or emotional trauma, and stress, pain,

disease and illness is the eventual result.  Acupuncture frees and balances the flow of qi,

which allows the body to heal itself.

The basic technique of acupuncture involves inserting extremely thin, sterile needles in points

along the body's meridians, which activates the qi.  Creating the proper movement of qi

allows the body to go back into balance.  When the qi is balanced, one experiences a

sense of physical, emotional and spiritual harmony, ease, and awareness.  With regular

acupuncture treatment, many people experience increased immunity as well as a reduction

or complete resolving of symptoms.

Acupuncture treats the whole person and therefore can be helpful for any type of imbalance.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), acupuncture is effective for the

treatment of over 40 conditions, including allergies, addictions, arthritis, back pain, chronic

fatigue, depression, digestive disorders, emotional problems, fertility, headaches,

menopause, menstrual disorders, sleeping disorders and stress.

Patient Testimonials:

“Acupuncture helped me to see the connection between my body and my emotional energy.  I found out that I can experience pure harmony inside of me. After several treatments, I noticed that my menstrual cycle was better and I experienced fewer headaches.  This is a natural, safe and very up-to date way to keep yourself healthy.  Even better is that it’s so affordable. ”

“Jalyn is very thorough and attentive.  After each acupuncture session, I’ve felt revived—my mind is more clear and more focused. And I have more energy, as a single mom to my four children! I am grateful for this ancient practice because it really works and it has only good side effects. Your whole being is addressed.  Without your health and wellness, you have nothing.”

“Acupuncture has been a part of my life for many years.  I recently sought treatments for allergies and it was helpful for my sneezing. It also addressed deeper issues like grief and emotional imbalance.  I've known Ms. Spencer for many years.  With her calm and gentle approach, she has the ability to guide patients towards better health.  Her needling technique is nearly pain-free.  I would highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking healing through acupuncture.”
